Therapy

Not able to decide whether you need therapy?

It can take time and courage to decide to see a counsellor / therapist. We tend to believe that mental health concerns do not need external help. But the truth is that therapy is the best gift you can give to your mind and spirit. In the company of a trained counsellor, you can see for yourself the abilities and strengths you carry. If your feelings are overwhelming you, if life’s tasks seem burdensome, if you are noticing behavioural changes within you and the quality of life seems to be deteriorating, counselling can help restore balance and positivity. Reach out for a free consultation before you book a session.

What does a therapy session look like?

When taking counselling with Prashant, you will be in a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you take the lead while he facilitates the discussion to help you explore various dimensions through exercises, storytelling, metaphors and educational counselling. Each therapy session lasts for about 50-60 minutes. The counsellor decides the modality based on the requirement and might blend a few different approaches if the case demands so. Client and therapist collaborate to create manageable, realistic and practical goals for improved mental and emotional health.

Insurance coverage questions?

Most workplace insurances cover the cost of counselling and/or therapy. It is not covered by OHIP. We provide you with an invoice and receipt, which can be submitted to claim insurance coverage.

How much therapy is needed

Depending on the client, the need and the situation, therapy can be as short as one or two sessions, or as long as a few months.

How to start the process

Some clients are referred to us by their doctors, in which case you can expect a call from us to set up an appointment. A referral is not a requirement however, and some clients contact us directly. You can start with a free 15-minute consultation to chat with your therapist and ask questions. Send us a message with your phone number, email and the day/time you would like to be contacted to book a consultation.
